Cosmetic Dentistry

Start smiling again!

Dr. Wu has an affordable solution for your cosmetic dental problem, including:

Dental Crowns.  If a tooth is badly decayed or cracked, it may require a crown instead of a filling. A crown is usually constructed of either gold or porcelain and fits snugly over the natural tooth. Crowns are carefully fitted to match the space and bite pattern of the tooth. Porcelain crowns are color matched to surrounding teeth, and look completely natural. A crown should be brushed and flossed just like a natural tooth.

Porcelain Veneers. Utilizing the same principle as acrylic fingernails, porcelain veneers permanently attach to the front of broken, misshaped, small, worn or permanently discolored teeth to make them instantly attractive. Depending on the patient, a veneer may be necessary for just one tooth or several may be needed to revamp an entire smile. Thin but extremely strong, a porcelain veneer is bonded to the front of the tooth and will look and function like a natural tooth.

Tooth-colored resin fillings.  Resin is an extremely strong, tooth-colored material that is used to fill decayed teeth. It is not only stronger than silver-mercury amalgam fillings, but its natural appearance and durability make it an excellent choice for patients with decayed teeth.

Whitening.  Partaking of many common foods, beverages and tobacco can result in yellow or discolored teeth. New Smile offers two ways to make them pearly white again—in-office Power Bleaching with a laser, or At-Home Bleaching, using custom-made mouth trays and professional strength whitening solution supplied by New Smile. Ask Dr. Wu or her staff what they recommend for your situation.
